AuAg steps up its institutional push

2026-09-14 15:30:00

AuAg continues to grow and is now taking the next step with a targeted move into the institutional market. As part of that move, AuAg is strengthening its team with Petter Alberts, who joins as Portfolio Manager with a particular focus on building AuAg’s institutional business.

AuAg is the Nordic region’s leading fund manager in precious metals, mining companies and electrification metals. Its funds are available in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, with more than 120,000 investors and a well-established presence among financial advisers and IFAs.

With that base in place, AuAg is now widening its focus to professional and institutional investors, where demand for specialist exposure to metals and mining companies is clearly on the rise.

Petter Alberts joins from EQT, where he spent 11 years as General Counsel for the Capital Raising function, working day to day on how institutional capital is raised and allocated. He also brings many years of investment experience in the metals and mining sector. That combination of institutional fund expertise and deep sector knowledge makes him a key addition to the work now getting under way.

“We have built a strong position among private investors and advisers, and we are now taking our offering to institutional investors. The mining sector has become increasingly hard to ignore, yet few have built up much expertise of their own. That is where we come in, with something we have been building since 2019 and continue to develop,” says Christopher Svensson, CEO of AuAg.
