A leading international Tier 1 automotive supplier has chosen Diadrom to bring 4D radar technology from the car to defence applications. That a Tier 1 player of this calibre chooses Diadrom is a statement in itself. For the customer, the business case is clear. Automotive 4D radar is production-tested at very high volumes and therefore proven in real-world operation — not at the prototype stage. The result: qualified hardware at a fraction of the cost of purpose-built defence sensors, with a security of supply that defence rarely achieves on its own. This addresses the leap from individual demonstrators to scalable, robust production — in a system where Diadrom takes responsibility for the whole.

The collaboration is at an early stage, at low TRL levels, but it is well timed: national innovation procurements and NATO's DIANA accelerator explicitly seek civilian technology in sensing and cybersecurity that can be translated into military capability.
