Goobit enters into agreement with Kvarn Metals Ltd for the gold component in Futureproof
Goobit Group AB (publ) (“Goobit”) today announces that its wholly owned subsidiary Goobit Blocktech AB has entered into an agreement with Kvarn Metals Ltd (“Kvarn Metals”), a Finnish company in the same group as Kvarn Capital Ltd, under which Kvarn Metals will provide the gold in Futureproof. The agreement formalises the arrangement announced on 14 September 2026. Goobit now has signed agreements in place for bitcoin and gold, the two asset classes required for the launch of Futureproof. The interest-bearing component is planned to be added at a later stage.
How Futureproof works
Futureproof is a savings platform where customers combine access to bitcoin, gold and interest-bearing assets in one place. The customer chooses one of three target allocations and decides how much to invest. Futureproof notifies the customer when holdings move outside the chosen tolerance range. All decisions are made by the customer, and any rebalancing is carried out only on the customer’s instruction.
Goobit develops and operates the platform and is responsible for product design, brand and customer experience. Each asset class is provided by a specialised partner: bitcoin by Kvarn Capital Ltd, a MiCA-authorised crypto-asset service provider, under the agreement announced on 14 September 2026, and gold by Kvarn Metals under today’s agreement. The interest-bearing component is intended to be provided by a separate partner.
The agreement with Kvarn Metals
Under the agreement, Kvarn Metals provides the gold in Futureproof and acts as counterparty in all gold transactions. For their gold holdings, Futureproof customers have a direct customer relationship with Kvarn Metals. Customers’ gold holdings are backed by physical gold on a 1:1 basis. Kvarn Metals holds ownership of gold corresponding to all customer holdings in custody, and purchases and sales in Futureproof are reflected as changes in each customer’s holding. Kvarn Metals provides no investment advice, portfolio management or any regulated services.

Risk
Investments in gold and bitcoin involve risk, and their value can both rise and fall. Kvarn Metals is the counterparty for gold holdings in Futureproof, which means that customers are exposed to Kvarn Metals’ ability to meet its obligations.
