Humana adds sustainability link to credit facility
Humana AB today announces that the company has integrated a sustainability link into its existing credit facility totaling SEK 2.3 billion. By linking the financing terms to strategic goals for customer satisfaction, employee engagement and climate emissions, Humana strengthens its commitment to sustainable care.
The existing financing agreement is linked to three of Humana's most important key performance indicators (KPIs) within sustainability:
- Customer satisfaction (Customer Satisfaction Index, CSI): Continued focus on high quality and safety through the goal of strengthening the satisfaction of Humana's care recipients.
- Employee satisfaction (eNPS): Further investments in employee well-being and engagement through active work with the company's Employee Net Promoter Score.
- Climate impact (Scope 1 & 2): Reduction of the company's direct greenhouse gas emissions and indirect emissions from purchased energy in line with Humana's science-based climate goals.
“Linking our financing to our central sustainability goals is a natural step for Humana. It makes it clear that quality for our customers, a good working environment for our employees and reduced climate impact are not only operational priorities, but also business-critical factors that affect our financial position”, says Christoffer Herou, CFO at Humana.
The financing agreement, which was signed in July 2025, is a three-year loan agreement, with two extension options of one year each. The agreement was signed with DNB Bank, SEB, The Swedish Export Credit Corporation (SEK) and Swedbank. DNB Carnegie and Swedbank have acted as Sustainability Coordinators for the sustainability linkage of the facility.
