M Vest Water Receives NORWAFLOC® Order from Third Newly Built Salmon Slaughterhouse – Expanding Recurring Revenue Base

2026-06-26 11:28:00

M Vest Water (MVW) has today received an order for the supply of its water treatment chemical NORWAFLOC® from the third newly built salmon slaughterhouse subject to mandatory water treatment requirements under new EU discharge regulations.

The order marks the expected transition from equipment deliveries to recurring chemical sales at the facility. It follows MVW's collaboration with Downstream Marine and two previously announced contracts for water treatment infrastructure, the delivery of a flotation unit (12 December 2024) and a complete dosing system with sensor stations for process monitoring (26 November 2025).

The installed equipment has been specifically designed for the dosing of NORWAFLOC®, and today's order represents the planned commencement of ongoing chemical deliveries as the slaughterhouse enters operational phase. The facility is the largest in MVW's aquaculture portfolio to date, and NORWAFLOC® volumes are expected to increase gradually as production ramps up.

This development is in line with MVW's expectations and strategy of building a growing base of recurring revenues through long-term chemical supply following initial equipment installations.

MVW has strong visibility into the implementation timeline for water treatment requirements across Norwegian salmon slaughterhouses, supporting predictable market expansion. Activity is expected to increase gradually through 2026, followed by significantly stronger growth in the period 2027–2030. To date, three newly built facilities have been mandated to comply with EU discharge regulations, all of which have selected NORWAFLOC® from the start of operations, positioning MVW as a leading supplier in this segment.

Henrik Meland Madsen, COO of MVW, comments: “We are pleased to receive the first NORWAFLOC® order from this facility, which demonstrates that the blood water treatment solution developed by MVW in collaboration with our partner Downstream Marine AS, together with our NORWAFLOC® products, has gained industry acceptance as an effective solution for meeting BAT-AEL requirements. Most importantly, it demonstrates the expected conversion of our equipment deliveries into recurring chemical sales, which is a key element of our business model, and we continue to see strong long-term growth opportunities as the regulations are implemented across the industry."
