Neonode Surpasses 100 Million Technology Licenses Worldwide
STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN, October 28, 2026 - Neonode Inc. (NASDAQ: NEON) ("Neonode" or the "Company") has surpassed 100 million technology licenses worldwide, marking a significant milestone in more than two decades of sensing innovation and global commercial deployment.
Neonode is now building on this scale and experience with MultiSensing®, its computer vision and AI platform, with a strong focus on the rapidly growing automotive in-cabin sensing market. As driver monitoring becomes an increasingly important part of vehicle safety, MultiSensing enables manufacturers to rapidly develop and deploy new features, deliver multiple functions from a single camera and operate with low compute requirements. Neonode's proprietary synthetic data pipeline accelerates feature development by reducing the need for extensive real-world data collection and manual annotation, while using real-world data to validate performance. Its modular neural networks support applications including driver and occupant monitoring, hands-on-wheel detection, seatbelt usage detection, driver readiness and digital mirror augmentation.
"Surpassing 100 million licenses is an important milestone for Neonode and demonstrates our ability to develop technology that can be successfully deployed at scale," said Daniel Alexus, President and CEO of Neonode. "What is particularly exciting is where we go from here. With MultiSensing now in automotive production, we are applying decades of experience in sensing and human-machine interaction to a new generation of AI-powered perception solutions."
As vehicles become increasingly software-defined, Neonode sees growing opportunities for camera-based AI to deliver more functionality from existing hardware. "MultiSensing is uniquely positioned to unlock greater value from existing camera hardware by delivering multiple AI-powered safety, comfort, and convenience functions from a single video stream," Alexus states. "Because vehicles are shifting more of their intelligence to software, manufacturers can add or update these capabilities without new dedicated sensors or heavy compute"
In 2026, Neonode also expanded MultiSensing into retail, bringing the same robust, production-proven computer vision technology used in vehicles into stores. The platform supports applications including consumer behavior and demographic insights, as well as loss prevention at self-checkout, extending the opportunities for MultiSensing beyond automotive.
