Nightingale Health's disease risk detection becomes available in Latvia through Professor Skride's Heart Clinic

Nightingale Health and Professor Skride's Heart Clinic, a private cardiology clinic in Riga, have entered into a service agreement to offer the Nightingale Health Check in Latvia. The clinic offers the test under its own brand, the Future Health Test. The test assesses a person's risk of developing five common chronic diseases over the next 10 years from a single blood sample, and bookings are already open.
Under the agreement, Professor Skride's Heart Clinic offers the test to its clients, and Nightingale Health analyses the blood samples. From a single blood sample, the Nightingale Health Check produces a 10-year risk estimate for five chronic diseases: heart attack, ischemic stroke, type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and fatty liver disease. The report also includes the person's Metabolic Age and Metabolic Resilience Score, and shows their blood values, including cholesterol, triglycerides, and kidney function. The clinic's doctors make all clinical decisions under existing medical guidelines; the test helps them identify earlier who would benefit most from preventive action. The test is recommended to be repeated after 3 to 12 months to follow how a person's risks change.
Professor Skride's Heart Clinic’s mission is to extend the average life expectancy in Latvia by seven healthy years, and prevention is a central part of its work. According to the OECD and European Observatory Country Health Profile 2025 for Latvia, life expectancy in Latvia was 76.7 years in 2024, five years below the EU average. Cardiovascular diseases cause more than half of all deaths in the country. The Future Health Test adds early risk detection to the clinic's preventive services. It shows a person's disease risks before symptoms appear, so that the person and their doctor have time to act.
