Norse Atlantic ASA: Continuing strong commercial performance in August

2026-09-07 07:00:00

Arendal, Norway, 7 September 2026.

In August, Norse Atlantic Airways ("Norse" or "the Company") delivered continued strong commercial performance in own network with unit revenue (TRASK) up 30% year-over-year to 6.9 US cents per available seat kilometer. While capacity reductions due to elevated fuel prices impact the number of passengers carried, the load factor remained close to 99%, confirming stable strong demand for Norse's long-haul product.

Eivind Roald, the CEO of Norse, comments:

"Norse maintains a strong performance in its own network with a significant year-over-year increase in unit revenue to date in 2026. Our deliberate capacity reductions reflect persistently high fuel prices and while this lowers the number of passengers Norse carry, we fly with nearly full airplanes. We are also proud of our operational performance with no cancellations in August and 80% of our flights departing within 15 minutes of schedule.

As fuel prices remain elevated, we remain mindful of our capacity allocation in the coming months in line with our flexible fleet deployment strategy. Bookings for the upcoming winter season continue to show promise."

(August traffic figures. Comparable figures for year-ago period shown in brackets)

  • 98.5% load factor across network and ACMI/Charter operations (94.9%)
  • Total revenue per available seat kilometer in own network (TRASK) of 6.9 US cents, up 30% from 5.3 US cents
  • 238 flights in own scheduled network (607)
  • 253 ACMI/charter flights operated (52)
  • 139,367 passengers transported (208,153) across network and ACMI/charter operations, down 32% YoY
  • Norse completed 100% of scheduled flights in the Month (99%)
  • 80% of flights in own network departed within 15 minutes of scheduled departure time (64%)
  • On-time performance was negatively impacted by continued air traffic control delays, airport congestion and travel disruptions as a knock-on effect from the Middle East conflict
