SATS ASA Q2 2026: Growth, margin expansion and continued distributions
SATS ASA ("the Company") today reported its results for the second quarter of 2026, with EBITDA before IFRS 16 up 16% to NOK 313 million, EBIT before IFRS 16 up 21% to NOK 260 million and earnings per share up 25% to NOK 1.00. Continued growth in member activity and engagement remains the main driver behind the improved financial delivery, and the majority of that growth comes, and is expected to continue coming, from the existing club portfolio. At the same time, the Company's financial strength provides room to invest in growth as opportunities arise, while distributions to shareholders continue to increase.
Key highlights from the second quarter of 2026:
- Total revenues lifted by 3% (7% curr. adj.) to NOK 1 442 million in Q2 2026, as ARPM increased by 2% (6% curr. adj.) and the member base grew by 1%, despite a slight club reduction
- EBITDA before IFRS 16 was up 16% (18% curr. adj.) to NOK 313 million
- EBIT before IFRS 16 increased by 21% (23% curr. adj.) to NOK 260 million
- Earnings per share reached NOK 1.00, up 25% (27% curr. adj.) from the corresponding quarter last year
- Member activity keeps growing, even against strong prior-year quarters, with workouts up 3%
- The Board has resolved to distribute a dividend of NOK 0.72 per share for H1 2026, which combined with gross share buybacks of NOK 318 million brings the total payout ratio to 152% in H1 2026
“Our members are training more and getting more out of their membership, and that activity converts to earnings over time. Workouts grew 3% and revenue per member 6% currency-adjusted, while costs rose only 4%, driving margin expansion. This is the predictability and operational leverage of the SATS model, improving step by step quarter after quarter,” says Sondre Gravir, CEO of SATS.
The Board of Directors of SATS ASA has today resolved to distribute a cash dividend of NOK 0.72 per share, pursuant to the authorization granted by the Annual General Meeting held on May 5, 2026. The share will trade excluding the right to dividend from August 24, 2026, and the record date is scheduled for August 25, 2026.
