Astor Group strengthens its strategic platform through a new business area structure

2026-08-07 15:13:50

Scandinavian Astor Group (“Astor Group” or the “Company”) announces today a new business area structure. The change means that the Group’s operations will be organized into two business areas instead of three: Astor Protect and Astor Industry. The new structure reflects the Group’s development and creates improved conditions for streamlined management, commercial synergies, capital allocation and long-term value creation. The change will be reflected in the Group’s interim report for the first half of 2026.

Astor Group has experienced significant growth in recent years through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. As the Group has developed, two distinct business logics have emerged. Against this background, the Board of Directors has decided to change the Group’s business area structure from three to two business areas.

Astor Tech will be integrated into Astor Protect, bringing together the Group’s operations within defence, protection and security solutions under one business area. The integration strengthens the opportunities to realize commercial synergies across the businesses, develop system solutions and a more integrated customer offering, and make more effective use of the Group’s expertise, technology platforms and market resources. The change will also create improved opportunities for cross-selling and joint business development across the companies.

Astor Industry brings together the Group’s specialized production and manufacturing companies, where value is created through advanced industrial manufacturing and long-term development and production assignments. The two business areas have different business models, value drivers and management requirements, while complementing each other by providing Astor Group with broad exposure to the defence market and multiple parts of the value chain.

“The new business area structure reflects where Astor is today and how we want to develop the Group going forward. By organizing the business around two distinct business logics, we create better conditions to develop each business area, strengthen our customer offering and continue building a strong and competitive defence group,” says Martin Elovsson, CEO of Astor Group.

The Group’s operations will be organized and reported as follows, which will be reflected in the interim report for the first half of 2026:

Astor Protect
The business area brings together the Group’s companies focused on the development, integration and delivery of system platforms for the defence and security sectors. Companies within the business area:

  • Airsafe Sweden Aktiebolag
  • Ammunity SIA
  • Oscilion EW Systems AB
  • Oscilion Naval Systems AB
  • Nordic Shield Group AB including the subsidiaries NEZ AB, Cesium AB and Cesium Fastigheter AB
  • Scandiflash AB

Astor Industry
The business area brings together the Group’s production and manufacturing companies. The companies form an industrial platform with specialized expertise and serve as long-term development and manufacturing partners to the defence industry and other advanced industrial segments. Companies within the business area:

  • Marstrom Composite AB including the brands and companies Composite Design Sweden, ID Modeller, JPC Composite and Carbonia Composites AB
  • Mikroponent Aktiebolag including its subsidiary Welas Oy and the ongoing acquisition of PBH Teknik AB

The new business area structure will be applied in the Group’s external financial reporting from the interim report for the first half of 2026. The change does not impact Astor Group’s financial position or previously communicated financial targets.
