Sveafastigheter adapts its organisation and makes changes to the Group Management Team
As part of the integration following the merger with KlaraBo, Sveafastigheter has conducted a review of its organisation. The review covers both staffing needs and the management structure and aims to simplify the organisation, clarify responsibility for property management and realise the synergies communicated in connection with the merger. The preliminary assessment is that approximately 50 positions are redundant.
The merger between Sveafastigheter and KlaraBo was completed on 30 September 2026, and one of the stated objectives of the merger was to create a stronger operational platform with increased efficiency and identified synergy opportunities. The organisational review that has now been completed is part of the work to capture these opportunities and create an organisation adapted to the size and operations of the combined company.
The review also involves changes to the management structure communicated on 15 October. The continued review of the combined operations has highlighted the need for a property management organisation with overall operational responsibility. Property management will therefore be organised into two regions, East and West, with local responsibility for property management and property ownership, as well as responsibility for centralised property management support within each region. At the same time, the COO role in the Group Management Team will be replaced by a role responsible for corporate development.
“Adapting the organisation and making changes to the management structure are parts of the same effort: creating an organisation adapted to the needs of the combined company. By organising property management into two geographical regions with local responsibility for property management and property ownership, we create the right conditions for efficient property management and an improved tenant experience. At the same time, adapting the organisation is a process that affects our employees, and we will manage it with respect, responsibility and in close dialogue with the employees concerned and trade union representatives,” says Sophia Mattsson-Linnala, Acting CEO of Sveafastigheter.
The identified redundancy affects approximately 50 positions. Trade union negotiations have been initiated, and the final structure of the organisation may therefore change. The company has also submitted a redundancy notification to the Swedish Public Employment Service regarding the positions concerned. Overall, the organisation is expected to decrease from approximately 270 to approximately 220 people, including consultants.
The Group Management Team will have the following composition as of 27 October:
- Sophia Mattsson-Linnala, Acting CEO
- Stina Carlson, CFO
- Jimmy Larsson, Head of Property Management, East Region
- Ola Svensson, Head of Property Management, West Region
- Frida Ställborn, General Counsel
- Maria Oskarsson, Head of Corporate Development
- Vacant, Head of Business Development
The organisational adaptation process will now continue within the framework of the trade union negotiations. At the same time, Sveafastigheter will continue the integration process with a focus on realising the opportunities identified in connection with the merger, further developing the business and creating long-term value for the company’s tenants and shareholders.
