One Million More Swedes Now Get Same-Day Delivery of Pharmacy Products
Apotea, Sweden's largest online pharmacy, can now offer another million Swedes same-day delivery. Through Airmee's new strategic terminal in Örebro, lead times are being drastically reduced in Central Sweden. Apotea is the first to take advantage of this initiative and can now offer same-day delivery of medicines and health products to a total of 3.7 million residents—seven days a week.
For residents in Örebro, Karlstad, Eskilstuna, Norrköping, and Linköping and their surrounding areas, it will now be possible to get important pharmacy goods delivered on the same day, even on weekends. Starting September 28, residents in the region can have their orders from Apotea delivered to their door on the same day the order is placed. With the establishment in Örebro, Apotea and Airmee's combined reach for same-day deliveries is growing significantly. In total, nearly 3.7 million Swedes can now use the service. It is already offered in cities including Stockholm, Västerås, and Uppsala.
"Through this initiative, we can offer a completely new level of service to our customers in the region. What really makes a difference in our customers' everyday lives is that we now deliver on the same day, seven days a week—including Saturdays and Sundays. We know how important it is to quickly get access to your medicines. That security should be there regardless of what day of the week it is," says Yasmina Djedou, Head of Last Mile at Apotea.

The launch is made possible through Airmee's new terminal in Örebro, which opened in September. In practice, this means that a customer in Norrköping who places their order with Apotea in the morning will have the package sent from Apotea's warehouse in Morgongåva during the day and delivered to their door the same evening. The same setup applies in Örebro, Karlstad, Eskilstuna, and Linköping.
