The med-tec company PolarCool AB (publ) continues to establish the PolarCap® System in German ice hockey, by signing a two-year agreement with Dresdner Eislöwen.

PolarCool develops and markets the product PolarCap, which alleviates the effects of concussion. The primary users of PolarCap include sports clubs, organizations, and facilities in contact sports such as ice hockey, rugby, football, and handball, as well as other sports with an increased risk of concussion. The company has recently secured several strategic agreements in Europe and has strengthened its presence in the domestic Swedish market. PolarCool already has an agreement with the German ice hockey club Adler Mannheim.

Dresdner Eislöwen is a professional hockey club that plays in the second-highest league in Germany, DEL-2. The agreement with Dresdner Eislöwen is a first step in an ongoing process together with DEL-2 where the ambition is to work towards a league solution similar to that of the SHL. The aim is to get a number of teams to start providing PolarCap for the remainder of this season, and the agreement with Dresdner Eislöwen is an important first step with significant strategic value towards PolarCap's overall establishment within DEL-2, even if the financial significance of individual agreements are limited.

The agreement with Dresdner Eislöwen allows the club will use the PolarCap System for the remainder of this season in an initial trial period, with the option to continue in a two-year commercial agreement after the evaluation.

Dresdner Eislöwen Team Manager Steven Rupprich comments;

-The scientific evidence regarding the treatment effects is impressive. I am excited that we in Dresdner Eislöwen as an organization now will be able to provide improved concussion management to our players if suffering a concussion.

PolarCool CEO Erik Andersson comments;

-Our first agreement in DEL-2 is very gratifying and once again shows the breadth of the market for PolarCap. DEL-2 as a league promoting PolarCap's use is very positive. We look forward to working together with DEL-2 with the aim to find a league solution for next season. The agreement with Dresdner is a first step in this process, and hopefully, a number of other clubs will follow already this season.
