The Medical Symposium was organized by UEFA and the German Football Association (DFB) and the symposium theme was 'The importance of medicine in football and the focus was on the significant evolution of football medicine in the last few years and its crucial role in the modern game.

Each session presented at the symposium was carefully picked by the UEFA medical committee to portray the important role that medicine plays in football and how different solutions can benefit teams and the sport. The topic of concussion played key part in the schedule and PolarCool's presence provided opportunities for PolarCap to be demonstrated to key persons within European football.
