Zalaris has signed a five-year extension with leading Nordic airline player Finnair, who specialises in passenger and cargo traffic between Asia and Europe. Zalaris will provide payroll services for 6,000 Finnair employees going forward.
The scope of the new agreement covers transactional payroll services for more than 6,000 Finnair employees in Finland using the Zalaris Payroll Solution integrated with Finnair's Workday based global HR system.
The shared key objective is to support Finnair's People Experience agenda by:- continuing to optimize and develop the payroll core services whilst staying on top of rapidly changing regulatory change and compliance
- positively contributing to the employee experience of Finnair's mobile workforce by offering high quality payroll and related support services in a responsive way
"Since 2012, our mutual transformation has led us to the tested and entrusted partnership we have today. Maintaining our Finnish payroll solution and delivering outsourcing services to an airline such as Finnair requires substantial automation and digitization. Our services must support local initiatives as required by local regulatory change and compliance requirements, such as the Finnish national income's registry, effectively. We are committed to continue delivering high quality payroll to Finnair's employees and empower a compelling employee experience for its increasingly mobile workforce," says Hans-Petter Mellerud, CEO of Zalaris.
The increased global expectation on HR to deliver business value in agile modes is also reflected at Finnair. "Our workforce and business leaders have high expectations. Changes impacting us will happen quicker and more frequently going forward, and we expect Zalaris as our trusted partner to stay ahead of changing regulations and compliance but also to maintain a high quality service level and to introduce more digital elements into payroll services. This will enable us to shift our focus to our strategic initiatives and transformation," says Eija Hakakari, SVP People & Culture at Finnair.
The new five-year contract is a recognition of Zalaris' ability to deliver leading digitalized payroll and corresponding services to large complex organizations like the Finnair operational environment with several different collective agreements.
