Reference is made to previous announcements by Ocean Yield ASA (the "Company")
in respect of the private placement of a total of 15,935,143 new shares in the
Company for gross proceeds of approx. NOK 717 million.

The share capital increase pertaining to the new shares issued through the
private placement has now been registered with the Norwegian Register of
Business Enterprises (Nw. Foretaksregisteret). Following the registration, the
registered share capital of the Company is NOK 1,752,865,750, divided into
175,286,575 shares with a nominal value of NOK 10 each.

The new shares will be registered with the VPS under the Company's ISIN NO
0010657448 and be traded on Oslo Børs under the Company's trading symbol "OCY".
The new shares will be delivered to Aker Capital AS as return of borrowed shares
in connection with the settlement of the private placement.

Arctic Securities AS, DNB Markets, a part of DNB Bank ASA and Fearnley
Securities AS acted as Joint Bookrunners and ING Bank N.V., SpareBank 1 Markets
AS and Swedbank AB (publ) (in cooperation with Kepler Cheuvreux) acted as Co
-Managers in connection with the Private Placement. Schjødt acted as legal
advisor to the Company.
