Lars Ekeland has joined Otovo as General Counsel starting on 19 October 2020. He joins Otovo from Wikborg Rein law firm where he most recently was specialist counsel, and he has experience from DNB as Senior Vice President and advisor in Group Treasury. Ekeland was responsible for DNB's funding programs, execution of funding transactions and investor relations. He has also been at Hjort law firm, Navita Consulting and Norsk Hydro.
"We are proud and happy to have a capacity like Lars join Otovo. He brings an extraordinarily broad experience in funding, treasury and risk management that will be useful for us as we grow Otovo in the years ahead", says Andreas Thorsheim, CEO.
Ekeland has a master in law from the University of Oslo and a master in applied mathematics from the Institut National des Sciences Appliqués in Toulouse. He will be acting in the role as CRO for Otovo subsidiary EDEA from 1 November in addition to his work at Otovo.
