The board of directors of 24Storage AB has today reached an agreement with Fredrik Sandelin, who will leave the company after three and a half intensive years as CEO and moving on to new challenges. At the same time, the board of directors has appointed Stefan Nilsson as the new CEO as part of the company's next development phase. Stefan Nilsson will take office on 30 June 2022.
"Following the acquisition of 24Storage AB by T-C Storage BidCo AB in December 2021, the focus has been on integrating the company within the T-C Storage Group to create a single market-leading self-storage platform in Sweden. In this context, we are excited that Stefan Nilsson will lead the combined platform with a mandate to realize operational efficiencies and fast-track our growth ambitions. In addition, we would like to thank Fredrik Sandelin for his great commitment and successful leadership at 24Storage AB", says Jasper Gilbey, chairman of the board of directors of 24Storage AB.
"I am happy and proud to have led the development of 24Storage AB into the second largest Swedish self-storage company. We have grown strongly during these years and completed a successful IPO. By creating an attractive customer offering that, among other things, has resulted in growth, improved earnings and cash flow, we have created value for both customers and owners", says Fredrik Sandelin, CEO of 24Storage AB.
Stefan Nilsson, born 1967
Stefan comes with 25 years of experience in the self-storage industry and was vital in building out the Pan-european Shurgard portfolio, as well as setting up 24Storage AB. Through building out Green Storage AB from inception, Stefan has been pivotal in challenging status quo in the self-storage industry with a view to automate the product that we wish to build further on through the integration of 24Storage AB into the wider self-storage platform. Stefan graduated 1990 in Mechanical Engineering, Gothenburg Technical Institute, Sweden. Stefan is board member and CEO in Green Storage AB.
