Analyst Group Comment on Genetic Analysis’ First Placement of the GA-map® Dysbiosis Test in Australia
On August 21st, Genetic Analysis AS (”Genetic Analysis” or the ”Company”) announced the launch of the GA-map® Dysbiosis Test at the Centre for Digestive Diseases (CDD) in Sydney, Australia. The implementation marks the first placement of the Company’s microbiome testing technology in Australia. CDD is a specialist gastroenterology center recognized for its work within gastrointestinal disorders and fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), and the test is intended to provide clinicians with a standardized tool for assessing gut microbiota composition in patients with conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
In summary, Analyst Group views the first Australian placement as a milestone in Genetic Analysis’ expansion strategy that opens a geographic market previously outside the Company’s footprint, and as a further validation of the shift toward standardized diagnostics in the microbiome market. That a clinically leading FMT center selects the GA-map® platform is assessed to strengthen the Company’s reference base and support subsequent placements internationally, though the financial impact is expected to accrue gradually rather than immediately.
