Bergman & Beving has today acquired all shares of Elkington AB. Elkington is a leading actor in floor access hatches but also sells related products such as wall and roof hatches. Customers are primarily construction companies that deliver to projects within infrastructure and commercial premises. The company has an annual revenue of approximately MSEK 40 with good profitability.
“Elkington is a well-established name within its niche on the Swedish market. The majority of sales is through architects and engineering consultant’s specifications, which we see as a strength. In addition to continue developing the current business, the company will evaluate new adjacent product areas and geographies", says Mats Gullbrandsson, Head of Divison Building Materials.
"We believe Elkington is getting a strong owner in Bergman & Beving, who we are convinced can support and develop the company further", say the two former owners Otto von Platen and Erik Ekberg.
Elkington will become part of the division Building Materials and the closing takes effect immediately. The acquisition is expected to have a marginal positive impact on Bergman & Beving's earnings per share during the current fiscal year.
