Cereno Scientific to Participate at BIO-Europe 2026 as Clinical Pipeline Advances and Strategic Opportunities Expand
Cereno Scientific (Nasdaq First North: CRNO B), an innovative biotech pioneering treatments to enhance and extend life for people with rare cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, today announced that Sten R. Sörensen, CEO, and Rahul Agrawal, CMO and Head of R&D, will participate in BIO-Europe 2026, taking place November 9–11, 2026, in Cologne, Germany. Participation at BIO-Europe forms part of Cereno’s ongoing global business development activities, focused on building relationships with potential pharmaceutical partners and evaluating strategic collaborations that can support continued development of its programs and value creation.
During the conference, Cereno Scientific will engage in scheduled meetings with pharmaceutical companies and other potential strategic partners to discuss the Company’s advancing clinical pipeline, upcoming development milestones and potential opportunities for collaboration and partnering. BIO-Europe is one of the life science industry’s leading global partnering events, bringing together senior executives and decision-makers from biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, investors and other industry stakeholders.
Cereno enters BIO-Europe with increasing clinical maturity across its pipeline and two differentiated HDAC inhibitor programs advancing toward important milestones. The global Phase IIb EPIMODE trial of lead drug candidate CS1 in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is underway, while recently announced positive topline results from the Phase I PK-bridging study of CS014 strengthened the Company’s intended direct path toward Phase IIb development in pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD). The PK-bridging results will form part of the complete IND package to be submitted to the FDA for review in Q4 2026. A Phase IIb trial in PH-ILD is anticipated to start in Q3 2027, subject to regulatory approval. Together, these advances increase the clinical maturity and depth of Cereno’s pipeline and provide a stronger foundation for discussions with potential pharmaceutical partners.
“BIO-Europe comes at an important time for Cereno as we continue to increase the clinical maturity of our pipeline. With CS1 advancing in Phase IIb and the recent positive PK-bridging results strengthening the intended development path for CS014, we have two differentiated clinical-stage programs progressing in rare cardiopulmonary diseases with significant unmet medical need. This progress strengthens the foundation from which we can engage with potential pharmaceutical partners around the strategic potential of our programs. We look forward to productive discussions at BIO-Europe as we continue to execute on our clinical strategy and explore opportunities that can support the development of our pipeline and long-term value creation,” said Sten R. Sörensen, CEO of Cereno Scientific.
As part of the BIO-Europe program, Rahul Agrawal will also speak in a fireside chat “Learning from Failures and Successes in Clinical Trials” on Wednesday, November 11. Drawing on extensive experience leading clinical development programs across global pharmaceutical companies and biotech, combined with a background spanning both clinical development and the commercial side of the industry, Rahul will share perspectives on lessons from clinical trials and how these can inform development strategy and decision-making. His participation also highlights the depth of clinical development and industry expertise within Cereno’s leadership team as the Company advances multiple programs through clinical development.
Cereno’s two clinical-stage HDAC inhibitor programs, CS1 and CS014, are based on epigenetic modulation and are being developed to address underlying mechanisms of disease progression in rare cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases. As both programs advance, the Company continues to build clinical evidence, pipeline depth and strategic optionality while engaging with potential pharmaceutical partners to support continued development and value creation.
