Örnsköldsvik, Sweden - 15 January 2026 - Clavister, a European leader in cybersecurity for mission-critical applications, today announces that the company has been awarded a contract by the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) for the development of Tactical Core Network System (TCNS), a secure tactical communication solution for use by the Norwegian Armed Forces.

The contract has a total value of approximately SEK 280 million, with options valued at an additional approximately SEK 15 million. Of the total contract value, approximately SEK 250 million relates to the development of the solution, which is based on Clavister’s in-house developed networking and security software. The remaining approximately SEK 30 million relates to a subsequent support and maintenance agreement.

The project will commence in the first quarter of 2026 and continue for approximately 36 months. Upon completion of the delivery phase, a four-year support and maintenance period will begin with an option for further extensions as required by NDMA throughout the system lifetime.

The solution will serve as a foundation for tactical communications as part of the broader Mime programme, which is a modernisation initiative managed by NDMA, aimed at upgrading communication and information systems for tactical command and control. The initiative is designed to establish a robust and future-proof digital infrastructure supporting long-term defence operational requirements.

“This contract is a strong recognition of Clavister’s long-term focus on delivering resilient, secure, and sovereign networking solutions for defence and other mission-critical environments,” says John Vestberg, CEO of Clavister. “We are proud to support the Norwegian Armed Forces with a solution based on our in-house developed technology, and we look forward to a close and constructive collaboration with NDMA throughout the delivery and support phases.”

“NDMA has awarded Clavister the contract, following a process of evaluating strong solutions in the market. We look forward to further develop our tactical communications capabilities together with Clavister, who has shown the ability to understand and deliver on our high-demanding requirements that secure our Forces’ tactical communications needs.” says Cathrine Devold, Program Director for Mime in NDMA.

“Tactical communication nodes (TKN) provide our forces with effective, secure and user-friendly connectivity regardless of the communication carrier. TCNS gives TKN the functionality that is essential for accomplishing the Armed Forces’ demanding missions.” says Lt. Col. Lars Eirik Aas from the Norwegian Army, representing the end-users of the system.

Revenue from the contract is expected to be recognised over time, in accordance with applicable accounting standards, with revenue recognition commencing from the start of the project and continuing throughout the delivery and support periods. Payments under the contract will be made throughout the project in accordance with defined delivery milestones.

This contract represents a significant milestone for Clavister and further strengthens the company’s position as a trusted European supplier of advanced cybersecurity and networking solutions for defence and other mission-critical environments.
