As part of its sustainability efforts, a Swedish industrial company has conducted a comprehensive energy analysis of its compressed air system in collaboration with Enersize. The results reveal significant potential for increased efficiency, energy savings, and reduced climate impact.
In a feasibility study carried out by Enersize, the energy usage, operational reliability, and improvement potential of the compressed air system were thoroughly analyzed. The assessment identified several concrete measures that could reduce energy consumption by up to 21%, equivalent to a reduction of 267 tons of CO₂ emissions over five years.
Thanks to the findings from the feasibility study, the customer has decided to move forward with basic engineering as a foundation for an investment proposal for a new, modern, and energy-efficient compressor solution.
“It’s always rewarding when our customers want to leverage our expertise and independent perspective in evaluating modernizations and rebuilds of their compressed air systems. This enables us to contribute maximum value through data-driven decisions and objective comparisons,” says Fredrik Arrigucci, CEO of Enersize.
The customer has expressed high satisfaction with both the approach and the decision-making material produced, which now forms the basis for continued planning.
The proposed solution includes, among other things:
- Two VSD compressors with a capacity of up to 40 m³/min
- Full redundancy for increased operational reliability
- Heat recovery potential of up to 567,000 kWh per year
The total estimated energy savings amount to approximately 1 million kWh over a five-year period.
