Nasdaq First North-listed Enersize strengthens the management team with Stephanie Alvarez Fernandez in the role of CTO, and Rebeca Rubio López as Software Manager. The company has carried out a number of key recruitments within the research and development department in order to accelerate the work of developing the next generation of cloud-based software for compressed air optimization.
Rebeca Rubio López is a software engineer, with a higher technical certificate in platform-independent application development, from the University of Barcelona. She has previously worked at Marfeel, a Barcelona-based startup company. She has experience in developing smart programs, tools and services for energy optimization of industrial compressed air.
Stephanie Alvarez Fernandez is a research engineer with a doctoral and master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Brasília, Brazil. She has good experience of developing companies' intellectual property rights and developing system configurations.
“Together, Stephanie and Rebeca take our expertise to the next level. Their competence is completely in line with our new strategy and business model. With those in place in the research and development department, we have the right conditions to exchange the work together and create value for both Enersize and our customers”, says Anders Sjögren, CEO of Enersize.
Enersize began the transition to a new business model in 2020. The focus is on selling long-term subscriptions to the company's cloud-based software platform focused on compressed air optimization. Compressed air is used on a very large scale by industry worldwide. And Enersize sees a very large growth potential there because companies are facing major challenges in minimizing emissions and energy use.
"Studies show that as much as 50 percent of the energy required to produce compressed air is lost, which is equivalent to more than eight nuclear power plants in Europe alone. This is unknown to most people, but with our expertise and software, companies can minimize losses and inefficient use and thus save large sums”, says Anders Sjögren.
