Eklunds Glas was founded in 1973. The operations mainly comprise production and installation of aluminium and glass façades in renovation projects for construction companies and property owners, as well as glasswork assignments for private individuals. The company’s office and workshop are located in Västerås with the Mälardalen area as its main working field, but projects are also carried out in other parts of Sweden. Previous projects include glass entrances to the Tuna Park shopping mall and glass façades at ABB Arena and the City Library in Västerås. Eklunds Glas has 26 full-time employees, and for the financial year 2020, its revenues amounted to approximately SEK 44 million.

The business becomes a great complement to our current subsidiaries in Mälardalen and we see clear cross-selling opportunities with our other services."

Fasadgruppen is using available credit facilities and existing cash to finance the acquisition of all shares in Eklunds Glas. The seller has undertaken to re-invest part of the purchase price by acquiring existing shares in Fasadgruppen within the next three months for an amount corresponding to SEK 6 million. The shares bought under the re-investment are subject to a lock-up commitment until 1 July 2022. The completion of the acquisition is not subject to any conditions, and Eklunds Glas will therefore immediately become part of Fasadgruppen.

As announced in a press release on 22 June 2021, Fasadgruppen has today also completed the acquisition of all shares in Åby Fasad.
