Fasadgruppen strengthens its position in Mälardalen through the acquisition of Frontkoncernen

Fasadgruppen makes its largest acquisition to date when buying Fasadrenoveringar Roland Karlsson i Mälardalen and its subsidiaries Front RK, rapid hyrställningar and SmartFront, together named Frontkoncernen (“the Front Group”). Through the acquisition, Fasadgruppen increases its presence in the Mälardalen area in central Sweden and strengthens its offering with the unique energy savings solution SmartFront.
Frontkoncernen is based in Eskilstuna. The operations within Front RK include façade, balcony and roof works. Rapid hyrställningar offers rental and installation of façade scaffolding, climbing platforms and weather protection. SmartFront offers a patented ventilation solution that can provide energy savings of up to 75 percent when renovating façades, ventilation and windows on existing properties. Frontkoncernen’s customers primarily consist of property owners, construction companies and housing cooperatives. It has approximately 120 employees and revenues amounted to approximately SEK 400 million in 2019.
Through the acquisition, Fasadgruppen strengthens position in Mälardalen, while Fasadgruppen as a whole will have the opportunity to expand its sustainability offer as all companies in the group gain access to SmartFront. The operations will be run under their own brands Front, rapid hyrställningar and SmartFront, and all employees continue as before.
Pål Warolin, CEO of Fasadgruppen said: “This acquisition is another milestone for Fasadgruppen, both in size and from a sustainability perspective. Heating of properties accounts for over 20 percent of Sweden's energy use, and in the EU as a whole, 75 percent of all properties are energy inefficient. As a result, a much higher renovation rate is required to be able to reach the EU's climate goal by 2030. Already today, Fasadgruppen’s companies offer additional insulation that can provide energy savings of between 20-50 percent in individual properties. With SmartFront, we now have access to a patented technology that both contributes to even higher energy savings and at the same time gives Fasadgruppen a unique product on the market.”

Fasadgruppen acquires 100% of the shares in Fasadrenoveringar Roland Karlsson i Mälardalen, Front RK, rapid hyrställningar and SmartFront. The acquisition is conditional upon approval from the Swedish Competition Authority.
