Fasadgruppen's subsidiary FRONT has signed a contract with Picea Bygg AB to carry out SmartFront installations on four apartment buildings belonging to the tenant-owner association Guldsmeden in Sundsvall, Sweden.
Guldsmeden consists of four tower blocks with a total of 258 apartments and 41 premises. The buildings were constructed in 1964-65 and, like many other properties from the same period, are in need of upgraded ventilation and energy efficiency measures. With the SmartFront method, the entire façade is renovated while new FTX ventilation is installed. As most of the work with the SmartFront method is done from the outside, there is no need to evacuate the many residents and businesses in the buildings. Work will begin in spring 2025 and is expected to last just over two years. The order value amounts to just over SEK 130 million.
Stefan Forsberg, Product Manager SmartFront at Fasadgruppen said: “For a number of years, we have been in dialogue with the tenant-owner association about the need for energy renovation and how best to address the properties' inadequate ventilation. We are pleased to have been entrusted with the installation of SmartFront, which will contribute to a significantly improved living environment with cleaner air and lower energy consumption.”
As demand for improved energy performance in buildings increases, Fasadgruppen will continue to work to expand the SmartFront method in both Sweden and other Nordic markets. More information about SmartFront is available at www.smartfront.se.
