Nasdaq First North-listed Freemelt – a high-tech commercial company whose groundbreaking solution creates new conditions for rapid growth in 3D printing – strengthens its footprint in Germany by an order for a Freemelt ONE system from Bergische University Wuppertal. The order includes ProHeat™ and will be used for research on electromagnetic materials. The system will be delivered in 2022.

Freemelt's protected technology takes 3D printing to a new level and makes it possible to print products more cost-effectively and in new materials that were previously not possible to produce.
The Freemelt ONE 3D printer is optimized for materials research with the aim of faster introduction of new materials and products in industrial applications.

"For us, it was crucial that the Freemelt ONE is a small, powerful system with great potential for materials research that is consistently based on open source. This gives us the flexibility and freedom that we want for creative research” says Prof. Dr. habil. Bilal Gökce and Dr.-Ing. Silja-Katharina Rittinghaus.

The Freemelt ONE system incorporates the new ProHeat™ technology that enables 3D printing in new and advanced materials in a controlled way, even at elevated temperatures.

"The order demonstrates the strength of our open-source strategy in materials research systems, creating better conditions for future industrial applications. The order also highlights the versatility of our systems where, for example, our ProHeat technology provides robust, efficient manufacturing of materials that are difficult or even impossible to print today," says Daniel Gidlund, CEO of Freemelt.

“This is the second Freemelt ONE System in the German Ruhr area. The scientists at Wuppertal’s University addresses a combination of materials science, manufacturing technology and technical chemistry, a perfect combination for our 3D printers,” says Peter Jain, Chief Sales Officer at Freemelt.
