Goobit Group’s Board has decided to propose Carl-Viggo Östlund as a new Board member and plans to convene an extraordinary general meeting for his election. Carl-Viggo Östlund has extensive management and board level experience in banking among other sectors.
“I got to know Christian Ander, a pioneer within crypto and blockchain, 6 years ago and I am fascinated by knowledge. My view is that we remain at the very beginning of exploring the possibilities of blockchains, despite the technology being close to 13 years old. I hope to contribute through my long management and board level experience in different environments, my knowledge of working in a supervised business and my curiosity and openness” says Carl-Viggo Östlund, new board member in Goobit Group AB.
“Carl-Viggo Östlund will make a strong contribution through his experience of financial and regulated companies and he has the right attitude for a quickly changing and growing market such as crypto,” says Christian Ander, main owner and Board member in Goobit Group AB.
Carl-Viggo Östlund has more than 35 years’ experience of leading both local and international businesses, among others Tetra Pak, TNT Express, SalusAnsvar, Nordnet and SBAB. He currently has board assignments in the following companies: DBT Capital, FCG Fonder, Fondo Solutions, Gladsheim Fastigheter, Hemdel, Picsmart, Ponture and Tryg. Carl-Viggo strengthens the Board through his extensive experience of leading companies with a growth agenda and that operate under the supervision of SFSA (Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority).
Carl-Viggo Östlund is independent in relation to the company, management and larger owners. In connection to the planned extraordinary general meeting, current Board member Johan Svärd will leave his Board position.
