About Motor-Car Group
An agreement between Andrej Glatz and the Austrian company Wiesenthal laid the foundation of the Motor-Car Group in 1989.

Following the events of 1989, Motor-Car Wiesenthal & Co, Ltd. had been registered on October 24th, 1990, becoming the first Mercedes-Benz retailer in Slovakia.

From that moment, sales and service network grew rapidly. Mercedes-Benz Financial Services had been founded shortly after, accompanied by development of a sales and service network for commercial vehicles and trucks, as well as addition of new brands to the portfolio.

In 2001, the original company Motor-Car Wiesenthal & Co split into two entities: Motor-Car Wiesenthal & Co, spol. Ltd. (the new company) that inherited the role of the general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Slovakia, and Motor-Car Bratislava spol. s r.o. which took over the retail business and ownership of subsidiaries. By 2019, the latter had grown to a network of 49 operations in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary.

At the turn of 2019 and 2020, the company had undergone extensive structural changes. Seven dealerships had become the property of local partners. Ing. Matúš Brečka became the CEO of Motor-Car Bratislava. Motor-Car Group retained 15 operations in Slovakia, 4 in Czech Republic and 2 in Hungary. However, the range of represented brands remained unchanged.
