High Coast Whisky’s Sherry Embers has been named a finalist in the prestigious World Whiskies Awards in the Single Malt category. This puts the distillery from the High Coast among the world’s leading whisky producers and underscores the growing international attention being paid to the distillery and Swedish whisky.
The World Whiskies Awards is one of the world’s most prestigious competitions in the whisky industry, attracting entries from leading producers across the globe. Reaching the final stage represents a significant recognition of quality, innovation and character.
– We can compare this to the Oscars, and the fact that we are now nominated for Best Picture, says Marketing Manager Jonas Svedin.
Sherry Embers is an expressive single malt that reflects High Coast Whisky’s signature style, where the Nordic climate, carefully selected casks and uncompromising craftsmanship interact to create a unique flavour profile.
– We feel both honoured and humbled that Sherry Embers is being recognised in this context. It is a testament to the work we put in every day, and we are immensely proud to see our whisky once again taking its place on the world stage with passion, curiosity and genuine craftsmanship from the High Coast, says Master Distiller Roger Melander.
The final will take place on 25 March in London. The other finalists are:
– Yamazaki, Single Malt Whisky 18 Years Old
– Aberfeldy, 21 Years Old
– Bowmore, 21 Years Old Sherry Oak Cask
– Kavalan, Distiller’s Reserve No.1 Single Malt Whisky
