HEADLINE: Issue of Equity

The Board of Invesco Global Equity Income Trust plc (the ‘Company’) announces that, to satisfy on-going demand, it has today sold from treasury 139,404 ordinary shares of 1p each (the “Ordinary Shares”) at 382.60p per share and agreed to issue and allot 320,596 Ordinary shares in Company at a price of 382.60p per share under its block listing facility.

Following these transactions the Company holds no Ordinary Shares in treasury and the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue is 122,731,314. The total number of voting rights in the Company is 122,731,314 which should be used as the denominator for calculating interests in the Company.
