The approval enables participation in procurements by NATO and its member states related to digital solutions, data management and secure systems. BOA is a procurement arrangement used by NATO, where acquisitions are carried out as separate competitive tenders among approved suppliers.
With Finland’s NATO membership, Finnish companies have gained access to procurements that were previously not available. This represents a broad and demanding operating environment. In such environments, high requirements are placed on system reliability, cybersecurity and continuity.
The BOA approval has been granted to Knowit Solutions Oy, part of the Knowit Group, following a multi-stage evaluation process assessing capabilities, reliability and compliance with strict security requirements. Similar approvals are already held by Knowit companies in Sweden, specifically the subsidiaries Knowit Defence Technology and Knowit Dataunit. Together, these approvals reflect Knowit’s growing role as a Nordic partner in delivering secure and resilient digital solutions in a NATO context.

The process requires approval from both NATO and Finnish national authorities.
