Wood products company Koskisen is expanding its Zero product family into the construction board category. The new Zero construction boards, ZeroFloor and ZeroWall, are fully bio-based and made entirely from renewable raw materials without added formaldehyde or isocyanates. They contain no fossil or oil-based materials.

“Thanks to systematic product development, we are once again able to expand the Zero product family with new bio-based products that enable reductions in construction-related emissions. The new Zero construction boards are manufactured at Finland’s only chipboard factory, where the raw material comes from by-products of our own sawmilling and plywood production,” says Tom-Peter Helenius, Director, Panel Industry business unit.

ZeroFloor is a bio-based flooring chipboard that combines durability with easy installation. It is suitable for floors in residential buildings as well as heated storage spaces. Its pre-tongued edges speed up installation, and the board’s uniform structure forms a strong and even base for materials such as parquet or laminate. The strength of ZeroFloor remains consistent in all directions, making it a long-lasting and reliable solution. Its structure enhances usability and improves floor durability. ZeroFloor is available as a P6 version for dry conditions. Its clean composition allows easy processing and helps keep tool blades in good condition.

ZeroWall is a versatile and strong wall chipboard suitable for various interior wall and ceiling applications. It is available both untreated and pre-primed, and can be fixed with screws or by gluing. The strength of ZeroWall is uniform in all directions, making it a reliable fixing base even for heavier loads. It also provides good sound insulation, making it particularly suitable for interior wall paneling. The structure of ZeroWall is designed so that it can be finished in many different ways and treated according to the needs of the application.
