Lumito and Offspring Biosciences report promising initial results from pilot study evaluating automated immunohistochemistry platform
Lumito AB (publ) ("Lumito" or the "Company") and Offspring Biosciences Sweden AB ("Offspring Biosciences") today announce promising initial results from the pilot study evaluating Lumito's proprietary tissue labelling and high-sensitivity imaging platform in combination with Offspring Biosciences' automated Immunohistochemistry (IHC) platform.
Offspring Biosciences has transferred Lumito's SCIZYS Erbium manual assay on to the Dx Ultra automated IHC platform, while Lumito has supplied the reagent kits, performed scanning of the stained tissue samples, and jointly with Offspring Biosciences evaluated the results.
The results of the study indicate strong potential for integrating Lumito’s SCIZYS Erbium reagent kit into the Discovery Ultra platform with only minor protocol adaptations. To support this transition, targeted modifications were made to align the manual assay with the automated workflow. While further optimisation and protocol refinement are still required, the findings mark an important step toward enabling Lumitos’s highly sensitive IHC solution on the Discovery Ultra platform. Building on these results, the companies are evaluating alternative workflow configurations to further enhance compatibility, including commercially available system setups and additional protocol customisation options.
