Bergen, Norway, August 14, 2025 – M Vest Water (EURONEXT: MVW) today announces the sale of water treatment optimalization services and equipment to SAR Gruppen (SAR), a leading waste management partner and service provider in Norway.
MVW has secured a project assignment from SAR, to facilitate the optimization of the water treatment process at SAR Mongstad. The order follows two years of successfully supplying our natural-based and biodegradable NORWAFLOC® products to SAR and serves as a strong testimonial to our technology.
The optimization program, scheduled for the second half of 2025, will involve mapping and test runs, a pilot phase, evaluation of results, and implementation of necessary adjustments. The project assignment also includes the sale of complementary water treatment equipment.
MVW greatly values our collaboration with SAR over the past two years. We are pleased to have the opportunity to further enhance the water treatment system at SAR Mongstad in a sustainable and cost-effective manner. Receiving an additional order from an existing client serves as a strong endorsement of both our technology and MVW as a company. The industry increasingly recognizes that our role extends beyond simply delivering products, and MVW is seen as a trusted partner and solution provider, supporting clients in meeting the strict discharge regulations imposed on the sector,” says Tor Olav Gabrielsen, Executive Chairman at MVW.
Background:
Referring to the announcement made on June 28, 2023, MVW entered into a framework agreement with SAR Gruppen about two years ago. This agreement included the recurring supply of water treatment chemicals from our NORWAFLOC® product line, along with technical support and advisory services in wastewater and sludge management.
About SAR:
SAR is the major provider of treatment of industrial wastewater and slop water from the Oil and Gas industry in Norway. SAR has several sites strategically located along the coast. SAR's biological water treatment plant at Mongstad is the largest treatment plant of its kind in Norway.
