Nanexa AB today announced that all patients have now completed the company's Phase I study for NEX-22 in type 2 diabetes. The study evaluates a long-acting depot formulation of the GLP-1 analog liraglutide with Nanexa's patented PharmaShellÂź system.
All patientsâ visits to the study clinic have now been completed according to plan. The analysis of the last blood samples taken is now the only thing that remains, as part of the evaluation of the pharmacokinetic profile of the treatment. The target is to have a one-month depot formulation to simplify and improve patientsâ adherence to prescribed treatment, and in the end achieve a better outcome.
