Netel joins SBTi to combat climate change

Netel, a leading specialist in critical infrastructure in northern Europe, has signed the commitment SBTi (Science Based Target initiative). Through the commitment, Netel undertakes to set targets to reduce its CO2 emissions according to the Paris Agreement.
SBTi is a collaboration between CDP, World Resources Institute (WI), the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the UN's Global Compact. SBTi provides companies with guidelines for how emissions should be reduced in line with the Paris Agreement and approves the companies' environmental goals based on science. Netel has now initiated the process of developing and validating targets to reduce the group's climate impact.
"The climate change is the biggest issue of our time and by setting scientifically based climate goals we ensure that Netel can continue its growth journey and at the same time contribute to reduced emissions," says Ove Bergkvist, President and CEO of Netel. "For us, scientifically based goals are an important step in our climate work and part of future-proofing our business."
