Nordic Iron Ore är ett gruvbolag med målsättningen att återuppta och utveckla järnmalmsbrytning i Ludvika-området. Bolagets vision är att driva projekt för produktion av ultra-höganrikat järnmalmskoncentrat för tillverkning av fossilfritt stål. I egen regi, eller genom samarbeten, ämnar bolaget att ta tillvara på den fosfor och de sällsynta jordartsmetaller som finns i mineraliseringen. Nordic Iron Ore recruits Project Manager for underground projects

Nordic Iron Ore AB has recruited Niklas Sternbeck as Project Manager for underground projects. Niklas Sternbeck, has extensive experience in underground infrastructure and tunnel projects. He will be responsible for planning and leading the work of implementing the planned ramp driving to get down to the new main level of the planned Blötberg mine. Niklas comes from a role as Project Office Manager at Veidekke Entreprenad and has a bachelor degree in mining and geotechnical engineering from the Mining School in Filipstad.

"It feels very exciting to welcome Niklas, who is from Ludvika, to Nordic Iron Ore to lead the work of planning and operating the ramp down to the continued ore body in Blötberget so that we can eventually produce an ultra-highly enriched iron ore concentrate for the green steel production" says Ronne Hamerslag, CEO of Nordic Iron Ore. Niklas Sternbeck will start as Project Manager at Nordic Iron Ore on November 25, 2024 and will initially report to the CEO.

Nordic Iron Ore AB is a mining company with the goal of resuming and developing iron ore mining in the Ludvika area. The company has all the necessary permits in place for the initial project at Blötberget and will be able to produce an ultra high-grade iron ore concentrate suitable for the production of fossil-free steel. The company is also evaluating the possibility of extracting a bi-product concentrate with high levels of phosphorus and rare earth elements. In addition to Blötberget, the company has mining concessions for the Väsmanfield and Håksberg, which are intended to be put into operation after Blötberget is in production.
