OODA AI launches desktop application with local AI and compensation for shared computing power
OODA AI AB (publ) (“OODA AI” or the “Company”) announces today that the Company is launching desktop applications for the All-in-One AI platform. The applications give access to the entire platform, previously available on the web, as a program on the computer. The platform has also received a refreshed design with simplified UX and UI. The applications make it possible to use AI models locally on the computer, regardless of operating system, and to receive compensation by sharing computing power in OODA AI’s decentralized network.
Decentralized network for shared computing power
Users can connect their computer to OODA AI’s decentralized network and offer their computing power. Other users can then have their inference performed on the network’s combined resources, instead of with a single central provider. Users who share their computing power may receive compensation. Users can also use all models offered online through the platform, including in the EU through the Company’s agreements.
Local AI on your own computer
The applications make it possible to use a number of AI models directly on the user’s own computer, regardless of operating system. Questions, documents and results handled by a local model do not need to leave the user’s computer.
Compatible with Midnight
The platform is compatible with zero-knowledge proofs from Midnight. Zero-knowledge proofs are a cryptographic technique that makes it possible to prove that something is true without revealing the underlying information. Midnight is a privacy-focused blockchain network built on this technology. The compatibility means the platform can be used together with Midnight’s privacy-preserving verification, which supports the Company’s work on privacy and user control.
Background
The launch builds on the Company’s previous launch of the All-in-One AI platform with self-service access and on the Company’s focus on decentralized and distributed AI compute.
