Prostatype Genomics provides update on the Medicare process regarding Prostatype®
Prostatype Genomics AB today provides an update regarding the ongoing process for Medicare reimbursement for Prostatype® in the US. The process is continuing, and the dialogue is now focused on a limited number of remaining issues. At this stage, the Company cannot specify when a final decision might be expected.
In the most recent interaction with Medicare, Prostatype Genomics received a few additional questions to address, and the company is currently compiling the requested information. The dialogue has gradually become more focused and streamlined. At the same time, there is no set deadline for the conclusion of the process. Prostatype Genomics therefore does not wish to speculate on the timing of a final decision, as this is not within the Company’s control.
The requirements for obtaining reimbursement for prognostic biomarkers in prostate cancer are extensive. Prostatype Genomics views the high standards for scientific and clinical documentation as both reasonable and necessary in a field where the results of prognostic tests can form a crucial part of the basis for treatment decisions.

A positive decision regarding Medicare reimbursement will represent a significant commercial milestone for Prostatype Genomics and the company’s continued establishment in the US market. The company will inform the market when there is further relevant information regarding the process.
