Purmo Group, a leader in sustainable indoor climate comfort solutions, has published its third sustainability report. The 2023 report illustrates the Group’s strong ongoing commitment and actions towards to a lower carbon future for its value chain and the environment.
Building on the momentum created in 2022, Purmo Group’s strategy of Complete Care focuses on four areas: its production, its products, its employees and the communities it reaches. This focus, reflected in 10 commitments and measured in 24 transparent KPIs, puts sustainability on every strategic agenda including: production, product-design, emissions, material-sourcing, training and community engagement.
Highlights from the 2023 report include:
- Submitting Science Based Targets for validation
- Improvements in carbon intensity and Scope 1 and 2 Greenhouse Gas emissions across the business
- First wave of replacing polystyrene packaging with sustainable alternatives
- Baselining Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions to identify the biggest levers in decarbonising
- Agreeing to buy 20,000 tonnes of almost-zero carbon-embodied steel per year from 2026
- Significant increases in customer awareness of progress in sustainability
