[Stockholm, 20 September 2023] – SinterCast is pleased to announce the recruitment of Dr Vítor Anjos, who will join the company on 1 January 2024 in the capacity of Operations Director. His appointment strengthens the executive management team and establishes an in-house path for the eventual succession of the current President & CEO, Dr Steve Dawson.

Dr Anjos, a Portuguese citizen born in 1982, comes to SinterCast as a specialist in the company’s core technical field of cast iron process control. Most recently, he has served as Chief Operations Officer at the AAPICO Águeda iron foundry in Portugal where he has been responsible for production and quality, and actively involved in new business development. Concurrently, he serves as General Manager of the Centre for Innovation and Technology N Mahalingham (CITNM) in Portugal, focussing on innovation and technology transfer to the automotive and foundry industries. With considerable international experience in the foundry and automotive industries, Dr Anjos will initially focus on ongoing technical projects, operations and investor and sustainability messaging. Having obtained his PhD in cast iron solidification and thermal analysis at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, Dr Anjos is fluent in German, Portuguese, Spanish and English.
