RISE, Svevia, Triona, and Volvo Construction Equipment are joining forces in a groundbreaking innovation project aimed at creating a digital ecosystem that will transform the construction and civil engineering sector. The project, named DIG – Digital Ecosystem for Sustainable End-to-End Solutions in Construction, has been granted funding by Vinnova under the Advanced Digitalization research and innovation program.

The initiative addresses one of the industry’s greatest challenges: fragmented workflows and lack of coordination among stakeholders. By developing an integrable digital platform featuring real-time data, AI-driven decision support, and digital twins, the project will enable a more efficient, sustainable, and data-driven construction process.

"We are facing a paradigm shift in how construction projects are planned, executed, and monitored. With DIG, we are creating a digital ecosystem where machines, people, and systems can collaborate in real time. It’s about reducing waste, increasing transparency, and building a more sustainable industry—both economically and environmentally," says David Rylander, Project Manager at RISE.

About the Project Partners:

  • RISE serves as project coordinator and is responsible for research, methodology development, and project management.
  • Svevia contributes access to real-world construction projects, resources, and operational expertise.
  • Triona develops digital solutions, interfaces, and system integrations.
  • Volvo Construction Equipment provides technical expertise in machinery, automation, and digital services.
