FOM Technologies today announced that the company has entered into a strategic collaboration with a U.S. industrial corporation to improve battery production.

FOM Technologies has entered into a strategic partnership with the American industrial corporation Honeywell to enhance battery manufacturing—particularly the production of electrodes, which is a central and technically challenging part of battery production. The first project will involve the delivery of equipment to the Alabama Mobility and Power Center at the University of Alabama. The center is scheduled to open in Q2 2026 and will be used for research and training in battery manufacturing.

The collaboration includes integrating FOM Technologies’ slot‑die coating technology into Honeywell’s AI‑based manufacturing platform for batteries. The purpose is to ensure greater consistency and improved electrode quality, increase production efficiency, and use artificial intelligence to automate battery manufacturing processes. It is worth noting that the collaboration is strategic and does not change FOM Technologies’ financial expectations.

Martin Kiener, Founder and CEO of FOM Technologies Inc., stated:

At FOM Technologies, we believe the most innovative solutions arise through close collaboration with our customers and partners. With Honeywell, we are stepping into the top tier. Honeywell’s expertise in automation and control systems will significantly strengthen our portfolio and expand our reach into highly demanding industrial markets. The combination of FOM’s advanced slot‑die technology with Honeywell’s scale and capabilities is a strong match for success. We see promising opportunities for innovation and customer value, and we are fully committed to making our collaboration a success.
