Viva eCom Group, the eCommerce branch of Viva Wine Group, sells its warehouse real estate in Germany in a sale-and-leaseback transaction. The closing of the Transaction took place 30 September 2022. The sales price exceeded the book value of the asset.
Purchaser of the logistics and fulfillment center is a pan-European investment fund, which specializes in urban logistics property. The sales price exceeded the book value of the asset which was acquired by Viva eCom Group in 2020.
The site comprises a warehouse of 7.100 sqm and 850 sqm of office space and is centrally located near Frankfurt.
Christian Fricke, MD of Viva eCom Group comments: “We acquired the logistics and fulfillment center in Butzbach in 2020 as part of a larger M&A transaction within our buy-and-build eCommerce strategy. We are happy to hand-over ownership of the real estate to an experienced investor who will be able to further develop the asset. The proceeds of this transaction will be used to strengthen our balance sheet and finance new growth opportunities.”
