The defence group W5 Solutions has received a framework agreement for target silhouettes in the Live-Fire Training product area from FMV. The order value amounts to SEK 60 million over three years with the possibility of a one-year extension.
– We are grateful for FMV’s continued trust in us as their supplier. The products covered by this agreement will make training at both soldier and unit level more realistic while complementing our existing series of target systems used by the Swedish Armed Forces today" says Evelina Hedskog, President & CEO at W5 Solutions.
The agreement includes silhouettes for various weapon systems with the capability of thermal signatures, enhancing realism and enabling soldiers to practice target identification. These silhouettes will increase our armed forces' capability for combat with combined weapon systems
Within this product area, W5 Solutions offers both target systems used for shooting exercises on shooting ranges and advanced systems with hundreds of targets that can be programmed for different scenarios. W5 Solutions also provides software to evaluate the exercises and share the results with the training participants.
The framework agreement is valued at SEK 60 million and has a term of three years with the possibility of a one-year extension.
The period for appeal of FMV's decision is 10 days from contract award, 2024-04-17
