Coegin Pharma reports strong clinical results for Follicopeptide® in eyelashes - statistically significant increase in eyelash length confirmed

Coegin Pharma AB ("Coegin" or the "Company") today announces encouraging results from a completed 56-day clinical study evaluating Follicopeptide® Lash Gel Serum for eyelashes. Visible effects were reported early, with almost one-third of participants experiencing visible results already within two weeks of once-daily use, followed by a substantial increase after four weeks. The early participant experience was subsequently supported by objective measurements demonstrating a statistically significant increase in eyelash length after both 42 and 56 days,  confirmed by two separate instrumental measurement methods. Together with excellent tolerability demonstrated under ophthalmological control, the new clinical findings are consistent with the positive results from the eyelash panel testing communicated earlier. Coegin assesses that the combined results significantly strengthen the evidence and commercial potential of Follicopeptide® in the global eyelash category.

The clinical study
The study was conducted by independent testing laboratory J.S. Hamilton Poland in accordance with applicable industry standards and Cosmetics Europe guidelines for cosmetic efficacy evaluation and claim substantiation. The study included 22 participants and demonstrated statistically significant changes in eyelash length. Participants used Follicopeptide® Lash Gel Serum once daily for 56 days, with efficacy evaluated through participant assessments and two objective instrumental measurement methods.

Visible effects reported already within two weeks
One of the most encouraging findings was how early participants began noticing a difference. Almost one-third reported visible effects within only two weeks of use, with a substantial increase in participants experiencing visible results after four weeks.

The positive experience continued throughout the study. After 56 days, positive effects were reported across all six evaluated efficacy parameters: eyelash length, thickness, density and strength, improved overall appearance and reduced eyelash loss. The independent evaluation concluded that all six efficacy parameters were confirmed under the study conditions.

Early experience followed by statistically significant increase in eyelash length
The early participant-reported effects were subsequently supported by objective instrumental measurements.

By Day 42, the increase in objectively measured eyelash length had become statistically significant, and statistical significance was maintained at Day 56. Importantly, the finding was  confirmed using both digital caliper measurements and VISIA® clinical imaging.

The independent laboratory concluded that Follicopeptide® Lash Gel Serum significantly improved eyelash length after both 42 and 56 days of regular use under the study conditions.

In a complementary evaluation under ophthalmological control, no negative symptoms or sensations indicative of intolerance were reported during regular use.

Follicopeptide® is a prostaglandin-free peptide technology. The new eyelash results add important clinical evidence from a distinctly different hair application and strengthen Coegin's strategy to expand Follicopeptide® across scalp hair, eyelashes and eyebrows.
