Academedia är verksamt inom utbildningssektorn. Bolaget äger och förvaltar förskolor, vuxenutbildningar samt skolor på grund- och gymnasienivå. Skolorna drivs självständigt med egna skolledningar med mål att vara i framkant gällande kvalitet och nytänkande. Störst verksamhet återfinns inom den nordiska marknaden. Bolaget bildades ursprungligen 1996 och har sitt huvudkontor i Stockholm.

Richard Sjöberg has been appointed Head of Communications and member of the executive management team at AcadeMedia. He will assume the position on 15 April 2024.

- Communication is important for an education company like AcadeMedia, where the work we do every day affects and engages many people. Welcoming Richard to AcadeMedia and Group Management is part of our efforts to strengthen our communication. We strive to be a strong and wise voice that can help shape solutions to challenges facing the education sector. Richard's experience and expertise will be very valuable in this work, says AcadeMedia's CEO Marcus Strömberg.

Richard Sjöberg has long and solid experience of managing communication functions in both the private and public sector. He comes most recently from Quattroporte, which he co-founded in 2005. Richard has also held senior communication roles at several international companies. Richard Sjöberg has a degree from Berghs School of Communication.

- I feel that I have found an assignment that is meaningful in an organisation with clear values and a strong drive to create good education. Providing the right conditions for children, young people, and adults to shape their future is one of the most important tasks there is, and I really look forward to getting to know AcadeMedia's many operations, says Richard Sjöberg.
