AddLife acquires Edge Medical Ltd, a leading distributor of specialty products in the field of orthopedic surgery in the UK and Irish markets. The company will be included in AddLife’s business area Medtech.

AddLife has acquired the UK Medtech company, Edge Medical Ltd. The company is a fast growing, leading distributor of advanced products and services in orthopedic surgery, spine and neurology with sales of approximately GBP 8 million and high margins.

The acquisition is another step in AddLife’s increasing acquisition activity as well as expansion in the UK and Irish markets. The acquisition is in line with the AddLife strategy to grow in orthopedic surgery, an attractive segment in which multiple other AddLife companies are active with strong market knowledge and supplier relationships.

Edge Medical is based in Manchester, serving surgeons across England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. The company is active in multiple market segments of orthopedic surgery including, spine, biologics, pain management as well as products supporting the rising demand for minimally invasive procedures.

The acquisition is in alignment with previously communicated strategy and acquisition criteria. Edge Medical’s commitment to innovative products brings long-term partnerships with customers and global manufacturers. Other companies in the AddLife Group will contribute with complementary products and services to further develop the market position.

The agreement was signed and took effect on April 1, 2025. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive effect on AddLife’s earnings per share in the 2025 financial year.
